Founded in 1997, Rapid Action Packaging Limited (RAP) was formed to exploit the packaging design innovations of Julian Money. Julian’s revolutionary Flexible Food Wrap (FFW) won the prestigious BBC Design Award in 1996. RAP specialises in the design and manufacture of innovative, ergonomic packaging systems, harnessing the benefits of both paper/film technologies and with a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility. RAP’s product suite is available in fully compostable and biodegradable materials. Great importance is laid by traceability and sustainability in relation to sourcing of raw materials. Patents are pending on all of RAP’s products. Product design, sales and administration are based at RAP’s head office in London, whilst production takes place at state of the art, food grade manufacturing plants in the Republic of Ireland, Korea and Malaysia. RAP is ISO 9001 quality assured and also certified in BRC/IOP Technical and Hygiene. RAP’s history resides in the ‘food on the move’ (sandwich and coffee) marketplace. With a customer list encompassing most of the large supermarkets and some of the world’s leading quick service restaurant companies, RAP has developed a reputation for its unique problem solving abilities. These skills have enabled the Company to maintain its leading edge in innovation. RAP’s product range shares a number of critical common properties – all of the products are available in compostable and recyclable materials.
